Our 4D workflow combines our unique data pre-conditioning technologies and 4D inversion to achieve an optimal understanding of production effects. Our data pre-conditioning technologies include trace balancing solutions and our proprietary seismic warping algorithm for AVO and 4D alignment. Our 4D inversion algorithm inverts all seismic vintages “symmetrically”, applying equal weights to all input 4D stacks. The estimated elastic/petrophysical properties highlight changes in reservoir conditions as a result of production.

Exploration de-risking

Our QI technologies are designed for varying degrees of well control to allow for an improved understanding of the subsurface even at the exploration stage. Despite the lack of well control in an exploratory setting, seismic inversion can still be performed to identify anomalous zones within the exploration target. In conjunction with detailed modeling of the seismic response, exploration risk can be reduced by a more constrained set of scenarios as put forth by the QI study.
